Counselling individuals and couples in Reading, Berkshire I am a qualified counsellor, helping people lead happier and more fulfilling lives. My counselling practice is based in Theale, a couple of minutes from Junction 12 of the M4. I work with a wide range of issues, focusing on their underlying causes. I integrate the Person-centred, Existential and Gestalt counselling approaches, and this combination offers a flexible framework within which we can, together, explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences. This can help you to resolve difficult feelings, and to develop a stronger sense of who you are, what you want out of life, and how to achieve that. In counselling couples, I aim to help each partner to express, explore and clarify their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental environment. This enables the other partner to understand them more fully. When each better understands their own and their partner's feelings and thought processes, both can work towards a happier future. I am experienced in helping people to: Reduce their stress or anxiety levels Improve their relationships Move successfully through transitions such as life stages and life changes Work through loss and bereavement Raise themselves out of low mood or depression Find purpose and meaning in their lives Raise confidence and self esteem Overcome the hurdles and blocks to fulfilling potential Resolve inner conflicts Live with neuro-diversity such as Asperger's, Dyspraxia and ADHD Navigate through the troubles of adolescence Work through the issues underlying problems with alcohol, drugs or food.
I counsel individuals and couples, either short or long term, and offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments.
