Counselling individuals and couples near Theale, Thatcham, Reading and Newbury, Berkshire

I am a qualified counsellor, helping people lead happier and more fulfilling lives. My counselling practice is easy to reach from Reading, Theale, Pangbourne, Thatcham and Newbury.

I work with a wide range of issues, focusing on their underlying causes. I integrate the Person-centred, Existential and Gestalt therapy approaches, and this combination offers a flexible framework within which we can, together, explore your feelings, thoughts and experiences. This can help you to identify and resolve difficult feelings, and to develop a stronger sense of who you are, what you want out of life, and how to achieve that.

As well as counselling individuals, I am a qualified couples counsellor. I aim to help each partner to express, explore and clarify their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgemental environment. This enables the other partner to understand them more fully. When each better understands their own and their partner's feelings and thought processes, both can work towards a happier future.

I am experienced in helping people to:

  • Reduce their stress or anxiety levels
  • Improve their relationships
  • Move successfully through transitions such as life stages and life changes
  • Work through loss and bereavement
  • Raise themselves out of low mood or depression
  • Find purpose and meaning in their lives
  • Raise confidence and self esteem
  • Overcome the hurdles and blocks to fulfilling potential
  • Resolve inner conflicts
  • Live with neuro-diversity such as Asperger's, Dyspraxia and ADHD
  • Navigate through the troubles of adolescence
  • Work through the issues underlying problems with alcohol, drugs or food.

I offer therapy to individuals and couples, either short or long term.
